After my SL orgy adventure, I decided to go shopping. I love the shop Silver Rose Designs. It specializes in Regency, Victorian, Middle Eastern and Gothic Lolita avatar clothing. I decided to be a Belle from the 1870's.
Well, as you can see, the hairstyle is a more than a bit anachronistic but I like it. The dress was a splurge but I love it. The skin on my avatar is from Second Skin Labs. Labs is one of the best vendors for great looking avi skin. My other favorites for skin are RAC, Skin Within and By Mia (Mia Snow - For guys she has a wonderful photo realistic skin called Hot Rod) and IC Skins (They created this shop to sell the skins they use for their VR Shakespeare Actors).
The deal with skin in SL is that it largely depends on shape. All the designers create on their own shapes. Many sell those shapes so that an SL user can get the exact same look. However many people want a specific look so that means a lot of shape tweaking (I use the Calla Petite Shape). It takes a long time to get the facial and body characteristics that you want. Plus they must be tweaked with each new skin. I'm very happy with the Labs skin that I'm wearing now.
On the Warcraft front, things have been slowing down. I'm kind of bored with it. What keeps me coming back is the people I've met inside the game.
