The Suzanne Farrell Ballet performed live online yesterday. Unfortunately I missed the broadcast. But the Kennedy Center website was kind enough to immediately post the performance in their archive section. So for all of us who missed it, click on the link below:
All of the dancers are wonderful and they exhibit real Balanchine style. Something that only his greatest muse would be able to pass on. It is sad that Farrell cannot coach the NYCB dancers anymore. But her small company has in many ways surpassed NYCB.
I wish I could make it to D.C. to see their season. The next time they are in NYC, I will get a ticket.
